Develop or brush up on your public relations skills

Essential and advanced media skills

A pile of newspapers

If you work in a marketing or communications role, or run your own business, then you will need to develop a set of public relations skills.

This will give you the ability to promote and market your business using some of the

most powerful and credible marketing methods available.

With the two media skills courses from Publicity Heaven, you will learn why PR is so powerful, and how you can tap into that.

Essential media skills

In this one day course you will learn the basics of PR, the tools of the trade, how to write a press release, the five unbreakable rules of PR, and how to develop a public relations strategy for your business.

That means that by the end of the course you will be able to understand what journalists want and how to give it to them - plus turn all the attention from PR into valuable sales leads.

Advanced media skills

This one day course follows on from the essential media skills course, and will teach you how to maximise your PR coverage.

You will learn how to successfully plan for and handle journalist interviews, a publicity crisis, and look at the growing influence of Online PR, and how it can significantly improve the performance of your website.

Training is normally done by Publicity Heaven's Paul Green, who was a journalist, presenter and editor for 13 years, and has a Diploma in Performance Coaching.
