An ambitious Corby entrepreneur has launched a new business to help Northamptonshire’s bosses get the most out of their employees.
38 year old Darrel Brown set up Special Dayz to offer exciting vehicle-based outdoor team building events in Rockingham.
And these certainly aren’t normal. Former army driver Darrel gets people driving 4x4 Land Rovers over rough terrain, racing “rage buggies” and driving vehicles while blindfolded.
He said: “Team building is essential for every company. But not many employees really want to sit around in a stuffy room, doing exercises to try and learn how to work together with. They learn a lot more out of the office getting their hands dirty.
“Special Dayz is such fun, they don’t realise how much they are learning about each other and the benefits of working together”.
Some of the other things Darrel will get teams doing include:
• Driving through water and round trees – in reverse
• Mastering quad bikes
• Being driven around a course in a Dakar rally Bowler Wildcat
The business will also do stag events for men, and pamper days for ladies.
Darrel added: “Companies that are serious about developing their employees will invest in team training. The advantage of Special Dayz is that teams will feel like they’re having fun, while learning valuable skills. So everyone wins!”
