Last week I said bank holidays were a great time to try and get free publicity.
A client of ours was featured in the news bulletins of a local radio station on bank holiday Monday, and again this morning. All this from a press release we sent a few weeks ago (the station was holding onto it for a quiet news day) and a short pre-recorded interview our client did last week.
Great coverage that has driven quite a bit of web traffic. Everyone’s happy all round!
You still have an opportunity this week. Some people are squeezing in last-minute summer holidays, keeping the news quieter than normal. That means papers and radio stations are more interested in great stories you can offer them.
